Courtney Turner

I am a professional hockey player in the PWHPA for Team Bauer. Previously was the first round draft pick of the 2017 CWHL draft for the Boston Blades. I attended Union College where I scored the most points on the team as a freshman. I was injured after my sophomore season and redshirted after ACL surgery. Three games back into my senior year I faced yet another setback breaking my fibula requiring surgery. I was able to come back for the end of the season. Fast forward and I am now playing alongside and against the best players in the world on both the American and Canadian National Teams in the PWHPA.

Growing Up

I grew up in Milton, MA playing boys hockey until Bantams.  Then I switched to play girls, where I was able to excel and use skills that I learned with the boys such as body position and puck protection to my advantage.  Later, I attended Dexter Southfield School in Brookline, MA.  Playing on many different tournament teams and for Southfield in the NEPSAC prep school league gave me many opportunities to be seen by college coaches across the country.
